Fitzgerald Contructions Australia

Civil / Infrastructure

Our company has a history of more than 30 years in tackling the most difficult and complex civil/infrastructure projects.

We have designed and implemented new techniques never seen in Australia before such as, the jacking of tunnel monoliths beneath existing railway lines.

We have been further involved in the biggest civil/infrastructure projects in Australia, such as on the Citylink Tollroad, through to concrete works on the new Post Entry Quarantine facility in Donnybrook and ILUKA Mineral Mine in Hamilton.

Specialised and heavy engineering concrete works such as on the Eastern and Western Sewerage Treatment Plants are also part of our portfolio, where we undertook the construction of the Bio Media Filter Building as part of the Eastern Treatment Plant Upgrade and Biodiversity/Channel upgrade at the Western Plant, all within the existing and operational sewerage treatment facility.

Both of which have received the following combination of awards:

  • International Water Association Award.
  • Australia Water Association, Project Innovation Award 2013.
  • Global water Summit international Project of the Year Award 2013.
  • Highly Commended Award (Engineering Projects category) – Concrete Institute of Australia.
  • Excellence award in the infrastructure category at the 2014 Engineers Australia Engineering Excellence Awards.

Finally, we have undertaken projects involving complex and intricate foundations and structures within the gas and power sectors.
