Compliance Safety Quality Environmental Management Systems


Our Integrated Management System covers the requirements of Occupational Health & Safety as prescribed in AS/NZS 4801. 

Our System Procedures covers the relevant aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety on our job sites. These procedures are currently being implemented to ensure that they are fully complying with the various legislative requirements for Safety and that our employees are working in safe and healthy environment.

We are recognised within the industry as a leader in OH&S management. As a business philosophy and obligation, we place safety at the forefront of our business operations and are determined to maintain our sites as the safest in the industry. 

We do this by following strict guidelines and procedures that have been developed over the years. A system that is not static, but constantly monitored and improved. We are committed to continuously improving our OH&S performance in the workplace and ensuring the well-being of our employees, which is evidenced by the company’s excellent safety track record.

Safety management and compliance is driven at all levels of our business to ensure consistency, compliance and commitment, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of not only our workforce, but also the public at large who may be impacted by our operations. 

Fitzgerald Constructions implements best practice standards to achieving a safe environment at the workplace and safeguarding the wellbeing of our employees. Initiatives include:

  • Establishment of Safety Leadership Teams. 
  • Interactive inductions with the boarder project teams and client groups.
  • Providing visible senior leadership commitment.
  • Workforce and subcontractor engagement and inductions. 
  • Safety training and development. 
  • Safety daily pre-start meetings, safety observations and conversations.
  • Subcontractor information sessions to provide an inclusive environment for subcontractor buy in (project updates, safety trends, project coordination). 

Finally, in regards to any PIN or regulatory notices, fines or sanctions, we have never incurred such since 1999 our year of company incorporation.
